That’s exactly the kind of transformation designer Ms. Vicious Design is known for.
For this renovation, designer Jenasie took on a 50-year-old bathroom that was, quite literally, falling apart — at one point, there was even a tree growing through the wall. What emerged is now a moody, vintage-inspired retreat filled with texture, warmth, and bold personality.

Custom Installation
To achieve the bespoke look of the checkered floor, Jenasie made over 600 individual cuts. The result is a floor that feels both vintage and custom — proof that a handmade brick can deliver artistic flexibility while still achieving a highly refined, design-forward finish.
This project is a beautiful example of how thoughtful material selection and bold creative vision can turn even the most unlikely starting point into a space that feels layered, soulful, and truly one of a kind.

At the heart of the design is our Handmade Glazed Brick in Cocoa Bean, a richly dimensional tile that brings depth and movement to the space.
Cocoa Bean is what we like to call a chameleon color. In softer light, it reads as a deep, earthy brown. As the light shifts, warm red undertones begin to emerge, creating subtle variation across the surface. This natural movement adds life and texture, especially in darker, mood-forward palettes.
Each brick carries the character of its handmade process — slight variation, glaze movement, and tonal shifts that give the installation the feeling of a found, old-world material rather than something newly manufactured.
