Terracotta-look (Antilles Clay, Atelier Brick) reads warmer and more rustic; subway tile (Caribbean, Kingston, Espana) reads more crafted and color-driven. Stone-look is the most architectural of the three categories — the surface that lets the room speak rather than calling attention to itself.
Mix is a packaged blend of multiple stone-look colorways in one box, designed to install with random color distribution across the field for an authentic limestone-quarry effect. Each tile is one solid color from the blend; the variation across the install creates the natural stone read. Order 5-10% over square footage to allow for distribution.
No. Placencia is glazed porcelain — the surface is impervious. No sealer required on the tile itself. (Standard practice for grout — sealing the joints, not the tile — still applies in wet areas.) This is the operational advantage of a stone-look porcelain over actual stone, which would require periodic resealing.
