Eleven colorways — Azul Claro, Azul Marino, Blanco, Cobalto, Marino Lavado, Mostaza, Negro, Terracota, Verde, Verde Lavado and Verde Oscuro — each offered in 2x2, 4x4 and 6x6, all in a gloss glaze.

Lavado means washed. The glaze is laid on thinner, so it pools in some places and clears in others across the face of the tile. Marino Lavado and Verde Lavado carry noticeably more movement and tile-to-tile variation than the flat colours — closer to how a zellige field reads. Choose them when you want the wall to shift, not sit still.

Yes. Each tile is formed and glazed by hand in Mexico, then fired in small batches. On a solid tile that handwork is unusually visible — the glaze breaks and pools differently across every piece, which is what separates it from a pressed, uniform field tile.

They were made to. Talavera Solids use the same glazes as the Talavera patterns, so a solid field and a pattern deco share a body, a colour and a firing. Setting a Talavera deco into a matching solid ground is the most reliable way to use both together.

Meaningful variation, and more of it than a machine-made solid — most of all in the two lavado colours, which are designed to move. Tone and glaze depth shift from tile to tile and between batches. Order your full quantity together with a little extra for cuts and selection, and view a sample in your own lighting first.

Backsplashes and range walls, wainscot and bath wraps, shower surrounds, fireplace faces and feature walls. It suits interiors and sheltered exteriors in mild climates, but is not rated for freeze-thaw regions or submerged applications such as pool interiors and fountain basins.

Trim shapes for this line are not yet part of our launch range, so exposed edges are handled at installation — a mitred edge, a metal profile, or a returned corner detail. Contact us before you finalise the layout and we will confirm the current options for your project.
